@exjwlemming Apostates aren't usually ones who were fringe members or spiritually "weak"ones. Apostates are generally those who were faithful JWs. Ones who'd served in Bethel. Others who were pioneers. Some who were elders. Even a Governing Body member. We're the ones who obeyed instructions from the top and sacrificed accordingly. And above all, we valued truth and honesty. I guess since there's not much at stake for those wishy-washy members, they feel no need to investigate the real truth honestly. And since people like the OP are so seasoned at lying about their double life, it makes sense that honesty isn't something they'd keenly pursue. What matters most is how you're perceived by your equally fake JW peers, isn't it OP?

@deegee "God seems to take delight in feeding into Satan's desire to harm and destroy His creation instead of simply casting Satan and the demons to some obscure, gaseous ball of hydrogen 45 billion light years away."
Thanks for the credit:

@James Donalds If none of your "worldly" activities are controversial in your congregation, why do you have to hide the fact that you vote, dear? If you're loud and proud about the double life you lead, perhaps you wouldn't mind sharing your real name and congregation. I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem with your COBE being informed of this fine Witness you've given to all of us (including "worldly" people who are interested in JWs) on here :D.
Warm Apostate Love,
WHAM!

New round of elders and MS schools going on, anyone have a inside scoop on any of the info being shared there?
by optimisticskeptic inconfidential items are of most interest of course, just curious what they're talking about there in general and what are the newest things everyone is being warned about, etc.

Merry Christmas!!! This year is just my kiddo and I (we're only six months faded and are still creating our own family of special friends). Since McDonald's is the only place open on Christmas day, I think I'll take him there to give him his gift. xoxoxox

You Just Can't Make This S--t Up!
by FedUpJW ini know this is kind of trivial but i don’t want to partake in something that might have connections with something that jehovah disapproves of.
i checked the watchtower library and i didn’t find anything on gingerbread man cookies.. .
good lord...how incredibly stupid and helpless are jdubs getting?

Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho
Urgh, I got a dummy text from an uber Dub on Jan 5 this year:
JW: Hey, I have a question for your dad as the only article is in a WT91 that I can't seem to access. [Fiance's name]'s grandma just died, is it appropriate to send flowers to his mum. It doesn't seem to be an issue from google bbut I just want to make sure it's not pagan or something???
Me: I'll check his bound volume library when I go over this afternoon. They put flowers in a KH for a funeral, hon, so don't sweat too much over it. X
JW: YeAh I thought it was fine but I rather play it safe then regret later. Thanks heaps, it's just not available electronically
Me: [MMS of Sep 15 1991 WT Questions from Readers, "Is it Right for Christians to send flowers for a funeral?"]
JW: Ahhhh so it's okay. Thank you so much!!!!
Me: You can send flowers after all, just not in the shape of a cross or pentagram, lol.
So there you have it, folks. She could send flowers to show some respect for somebody's loss without fear of worshiping a pagan god, resulting in Jehovah smiting her at Armageddon. Bitch be like:

Unprivileged
by Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho insomething just dawned on me today as i processed my assimilation into the real world (thanks to our new poster, @jester, giving me a major throwback to my first post).. when you're a jehovah's witness, you really are in some sort of la la land.
things which are perfectly normal are acts of eating from the table of the demons.
things which are horribly grotesque and extremely unjust are branded as "righteousness".

Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho
@fulltimestudent Fkn lol. Just make sure you're not raising your hand when you're asking to be unprivileged. That's too much of a luxury in the JW world:

Strange
by Jrjw ina couple of times at the meetings this year we've been told that in the future we might get some strange directions from the society that might not make any sense to us.
then they've said will we show our loyalty to jehovah by still obeying?
seems a rather unusual thing to say.
-
Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho
@Jrjw Perhaps start asking, "if these men are neither inspired nor infallible and are subject to erring in doctrinal matters, where are they getting these instructions from that won't make sense from a human standpoint?"
They do, after all, claim to be "imperfect men" when they f*ck up royally. So when these instructions they issue don't make sense to the rest of us imperfect humans, the same can be said for these men at the top who are making the rules as they go.
Why on earth would you want to follow orders from someone who they themselves can't make sense of the commands? This is a recipe for disaster.
"Loyal" isn't even the right word to describe it. It is reckless.
